Savannah - Mr. Harold L. Ruby, Jr., 55, died on Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at his home. The Pennsylvania native was a Star Corporal with the City of Savannah Police Department where he had been employed since 1971. He loved and was committed to his career as a policeman. He was an all-star softball player who was very involved with tournament play and he was an antique car enthusiast. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold L., Sr. and Stella Ruby and a sister, Sandra Ruby Gruber. Survivors include his beloved fiance, Jan Bowen of Savannah; sister, Rosie Frawley of Savannah; nieces, Heather Frawley, Staci Gruber and Holly Frawley; nephew, Harold Frawley; great-niece, Makenzie Mae Paige and son, Harold Droste. Visitation: 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral: 11 a.m. on Friday in the chapel of the funeral home. Entombment: Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
