On July 8, 1950, Alberta was united in marriage to the late Stanley F. Jones, Sr. They were blessed with five sons and four daughters. Sister Jones was a faithful servant of Jehovah for twenty-six years. She enjoyed sharing the Kingdom message with others by word of mouth and printed page. Alberta took great pride in making everyone feel comfortable in her presence. In addition to being known for her great smile and warm personality, she had a great sense of humor. One of the many activities Alberta enjoyed was playing pinochle with family members and friends.
She leaves to mourn five sons, Alfonso T. Empson, Sr. of Cinnaminson, NJ, Stanley F. Jones, Jr. of Springfield, MA, Gregory L. Jones, Sr. (Audrey) of Burlington Township, NJ, Lesley E. Jones of Beverly, NJ, Maurice N. Jones of Beverly, NJ; four daughters, Zelda M. Jones of Bloomfield, CT, Charlise (Toy) A. Jones of Kingwood, TX, Robin R. Shine (Michael) of Willingboro, NJ and Eileen A. Jones of Beverly, NJ; one sister, Elsie Empson Bailey of Oxford, NC; sixteen grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Services will be held on Friday, February 10th at 11:00 AM at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 907 Jacksonville Road, Burlington, New Jersey 08016. Viewing from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kingdom Hall. Interment will take place at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans' Cemetery located at 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, New Jersey 08562 immediately following the service.
