Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi.
BILOXI --- Chief P.O. Edwin C. Williams, U.S. Navy, (Ret.), 66, died Friday, Dec. 17, 1999, in Biloxi.
Chief Williams was born in Oil Springs, Ky., and had been a resident of the Coast since 1975. He was a retired U.S. Navy veteran with 26 years of service and was retired from Ingall's Shipbuilding in Pascagoula. He was a Mason, a member of the Ocean Springs Elks Lodge and a member of Lemoyne Boulevard Baptist Church.
Survivors include, his wife, Helen L. Williams of North Biloxi; his mother, Geneva Williams of Circleville, Ohio; three daughters, Debbie Adams, Susan Craft, both of Bremerton, Wash., and Kathy Armstrong of Omaha, Neb.; a step-daughter, Lynn Dollar of Albany, Ga.; three step-sons, George Walker of Albany, Ga., Ronald Walker and John Walker, both of Richmond, Va.; two brothers, Paul Williams of Williamsport, Ohio, and Gary Williams of Oil Springs, Ky.; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. A service will be at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with burial in Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors.
