Lively---Mrs. Louise Elizabeth Clark Gaver,90, of Lively, died January 10, 1997. After graduating from Lancaster High School in 1923, she enrolled in Bryan-Strattan Secretarial School in Baltimore, Md. She worked in several businesses in Baltimore and then was employed by the C&P Telephone Co. in the management department. She retired from C&P Telephone Co. in 1968 after 43 years of service. In 1969 she moved to her old homestead in Lively where she was born and raised. Mrs. Gaver, the last survivor of her immediate family, was the daughter of Clyde B. and Eulene Revere Clark. She was a member of the Northern Neck Telephone Pioneers and of Lebanon Baptist Church, Alfonso. She is survived by her husband, Herman S. Gaver; one great-nephew, Albert Lee Collison of Baltimore, Md. and two great-great-nephews, Lee Collison of New Jersey and Keith Collison of Baltimore. Funeral services were held Sunday, January 12, at Lebanon Baptist Church, with interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. Carlton Milstead Jr. and The Rev. Lester Marsh officiated. Pallbearers were Garland Forrester, Manuel Steppe, Emory Rice, Walter Balsley, J.J. Somers, Nat Howser, Bobbie Pyles, and Paul Gaver Jr. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lebanon Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
