Hugh was my great grandfather, born in Ohio. His parents are unknown. He married Vienna Phillips November 17, 1859 in Gibson County, Indiana. They produced 14 children, including three sets of twins. Hugh lived his final years at Mt. Carmel in Wabash county Illinois with my grandparents, Zedaw and Mary Jane Karn Bradshaw.His obituary was published in The Mount Carmel Evening Register (Illinois), Saturday June 14, 1903:

Mr. Hugh Bradshaw, who had long been in feeble health died on East Fifth street in this city at the home of his son this morning. His age was seventy years. He came here two or three years ago from Wayne county. The body was taken to Hazelton, Ind. for burial.
