Kenneth A. Jackson was called home to be with the Lord on June 14, 2014. He was born on Sept. 17, 1938 at St. Luke s Hospital. Ken was a proud 20 year retired veteran of the U.S. Army, serving as Chief Recruiter in the Jacksonville area, retiring at the rank of Staff Sergeant. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Lt. Col. James Jackson and Viola, and brother Norman. He is survived by his loving wife Pat, whom he was married to for 51 years, daughters Kim Jackson and Stacey Jackson. He was a loving grandfather to Bradley Bushor and Amanda Kent. He is also survived by brothers Sheldon (Vonnie), Ronnie (Linda) and sister Shelia Scherck (Dallas). Ken served on the staff of Camp Tracey in Baker County for many years working with troubled male teenagers. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, June 20, at 11AM at Harvest Baptist Church, 1051 Arlington Rd. (724-8223). Service will be conducted by Preacher Wilford McCormick and Dr. Bob Parker.
