The family received friends at the home of Steve and Deborah Meeks in Sumter, SC on Sunday, October 30, 2011 from 3-6pm. Visitation was held at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Monday, October 31 from 6-8 pm. A graveside service was held Tuesday, November 2, 2011 at 11 am at the Bethany Christian Church Cemetery, Paulding County.

Nancy, the daughter of Robert Leonard and Clara Dobbins Matthews, worked as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years.
She was predeceased by sons Sydney and Wayne, daughter Therisa and husband Hubert Meeks.
When she was in good health, living in Panama City with husband Hubert, she always mailed Christmas cards so recipients received them on December 1st.

Nancy Delores Matthews Meeks, age 74, beloved wife of the late Hubert Meeks, died on October 27, 2011 at Tuomey Medical Center.
Nancy was born on March 17, 1937 in Villa Rica, Carroll County, Georgia a daughter of the late Robert Leonard and Clara Dobbins Matthews.
She worked as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years and enjoyed working with her childrenâs youth baseball programs. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She attended Wise Drive Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Robert Steven Meeks of Sumter; a sister, Sandra Matthews Smith of Villa Rica, GA; extended generations. She was preceded in death by, two sons, Sydney Meeks and Charles Wayne Meeks; a daughter, Therisa Delores Meeks; a brother, Anthony Wayne Matthews.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at 11: 00 am in the Bethany Christian Church Cemetery, Dallas, GA. Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. The family has chosen Bullock Funeral Home for the arrangements.
