The photograph on this memorial is from The Alabama Dept. of Archives and History. It is said to be of a Samuel C. Dunn, Co. E. 48th Alabama Infantry. Mustered into service in Marshall County, Alabama, April 1862. Absent without leave, January 1863, no futher record.

Windham Springs is about 20 miles north of Northport, Alabama on Highway 69.
