Albert is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary Ann Carter Jenkins; daughters Alberta Alexandra Jenkins of Duluth, GA, Anny Deshawn Jenkins Brewer (Darren) of Martinsburg, WV, and Arthelia Schley Hopewell of New York, NY. He was preceded in death by his brother, John William Jenkins, Jr. of East Orange, NJ, and a sister, Hazel Jenkins of Martinsburg. Albert earned his certification as a welder at James Rumsey Technical Institute and retired from Riverton Corp. He was a 40 year member of the Shepherdstown Volunteer Fire Department where he was first lieutenant and the first African American fire officer in Jefferson County. He was also a Mason, member of Mt. Pisgah No. 3 Lodge in Martinsburg.
