Bonnie Dean Schmink, 79, of Charleston, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon.
She was born Nov. 29, 1934 in rural Vermilion County, Illinois, daughter of Paul A. and Beatrice Pearl (Smith) Brown. She was united in marriage to Donald Lee Schmink on May 18, 1954 in Catlin. He preceded her in death June 13, 2009. She also was preceded in death by her parents and son, Steven Lee Schmink.
She is survived by one daughter, Sherry (James) Goossen; one brother, Robert W. Brown; two sisters, Beverly Pearson and Donna Leverenz; four nieces and four nephews.
She had worked for many years at Mattoon Health Care Center and also Steven Kelly & Associates.
