Funeral services will be conducted at 4 pm Sunday from the Four Holes Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr Johnson was born in Orangeburg, a son of Mrs Donnie Singleton Johnson and the late Hugh C Johnson Sr, and was a member of Four Holes Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and member of the Brotherhood. He was a veteran of WWII.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs Evelyn Austin Johnson of Cameron; four daughters, Mrs Roger L Dantzler [Laura Johnson Dantzler], Miss Lorraine Johnson, Miss Margaret Johnson, and Miss Dorothy Johnson, all of Cameron; his mother, Mrs Hugh C Johnson Sr of Orangeburg; five sisters, Mrs C L Holston of Batesburg, Mrs Allen D Smith, Mrs H C Judy and Mrs Raymond Ulmer Jr, all of Orangeburg, and Mrs P T Smith of Elloree, and four brothers, W F Johnson of Rowesville, L C Johnson of Charleston and J R Johnson and T W Johnson Sr, both of Orangeburg.
