Dr. Rock Sleyster, 62, of Milwaukee, only Wisconsin man ever to head the American Medical Association, and former physician at Kiel, died at his home on the Milwaukee sanitarium ground at Wauwatosa early last Saturday. Dr. Sleyster was well known to medical men in this county and while at Kiel was secretary of the Calumet County Medical society.
He was an outspoken opponent to socialized medicine. He was named superintendent of the Milwaukee sanitarium in 1919. Dr. Sleyster was chosen president of the America Medical association in 1938.
