Francis E. Shannon, 88, of 211 E. Seventh St. died Thursday at Hillcrest Nursing Home.
A native of Oswego , Mr. Shannon also lived many years in Syracuse and Buffalo before returning to Oswego in 1975. He was bookkeeper for Homeowners Loan Association in Syracuse and in Albany. While living in Buffalo, Mr. Shannon was traffic manager for Freund Trucking Co. and manager of Buffalo Park Golf and Country Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Colleen Shannon of Saratoga; a brother, Leon of Oswego ; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Dowdle Funeral Home and 9 a.m. in St. John's Church. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery .
