Mrs. Vivian Mendel, age 30, died in Chicago, Illinois, August 18, 1966. Mrs. Mendel was born July 30, 1936 in Haralson County. She was preceded in death by infant son, Randall Allen Hulsey.

Survivors included her husband, Raymond Mendel; four children, Cynthia Dawn and Raymond Mendel, Jr., both of Chicago; Julia Gayle and Karla Jean Hulsey, both of Temple, Ga.; her parents, Mr. John and Mrs. Beulah Kirk Weaver; three sisters, Mrs. Marvin (Anne) Wells, of Atlanta; Mrs. Herman (Mae) Brewer, of Cartersville; Mrs. Van (Phyllis) Mitchell, of Clarkdale; four brothers, Maj. William W. Weaver, of El Paso, Texas; Hershel Weaver, of Cartersville; John Weaver, of San Diego, California; and Ray Weaver, of Atlanta.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 24 at 2 PM from the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church in Paulding County, with the Rev. Jerry Wilkins and and Rev. Harvey Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Owen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
