NEWPORT NEWS -- Miss Robin Margaret Edwarads, 14, of Willow Drive, was found dead Wednesday in Isle of Wight County. She was born in Lexington Park MD and had been a Peninsula resident for 11 years. She was an eighth-grade student at Huntington Middle School and a member of North Riverside Baptist Church.

Survivors include her parents, Robert C. and Bonite (Antel) Edwards of Newport News; sisters Mrs. Jeanette Alley of Yorktown and Miss Pamela L. Edwards of Newport News; maternal grandfather Harold E. Antel of Tucson AZ; paternal grandmother Mrs. Margaret B. Edwards of Harrisburg PA; and her paternal grandfather Robert E. Edwards of Enola PA.

NEWPORT NEWS -- A funeral for Miss Robin Margaret Edwards, 14, who was found dead Wednesday, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at North Riverside Baptist Church by the Rev. Joe Stouther. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at W.J. Smith & Son Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.

Robin Edwards and David Knobling, 20, of Hampton VA, were last seen on 19 Sep 1987. Knobling's black Ford pickup truck was discovered near the Ragged Island Wildlife Management Area at the foot of the James River Bridge. On 23 Sep 1987, they were found murdered at the Wildlife Management Area on the south shore of the James River in Isle of Wight County, near Smithfield VA, about two miles downriver from the truck.
