He is survived by his wife, Peggy S. Davis; three children, Lisa Davis Williams (Brian) of King George; Melanie Davis McDonald (Erik) of White Stone; Bernard "Trey" Davis (Mary) of Richmond; four step-children, Tracie Mothershead (Marty) of Warsaw; Autie Julian Sprayberry (Cheryl) of Mechanicsville; Elizabeth Theriot of LA; Jamie Sgro (Nick) of Richmond; 5 grandchildren, Kristen Brewer, Justin Williams, Clayton and Anne Claire Davis, Jordan McDonald; 8 step-grandchildren, Tyler and Trevor Mothershead, Nicholas and Connor Sgro, Austin (Kelly) and Thorn Gamblin, Kain and Dakota Theriot; one great-grandchild, Madison Roberts; two neices Dixie (Sanders) Oliff and Paula (Sanders) Shipman both of Warsaw; brother and sister-in-law, Horace and Bertha Sanders of Warsaw, and their daughter Gladys Stevens of Mechanicsville.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Cobham Park Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Pastor Donald Bowen officiated. Pallbearers were Billy Taylor, Leon Douglas, Art Sage, Dickie Brooks, Randy Packett, Leslie Sanders, Mark Scott and Allen Clarke.
