Durwood B. Rogers, 86, of Spring Hill, FL, formerly of Marshall, MO, died July 29, 2005, at Oak Hill Hospital in Spring Hill. Born July 23, 1919, in Napton, he was the son of the late Leonard A. Rogers and Bessie I. (Moore) Rogers.

In 1950, he married Evelyn H. Barnes, who survives of the home.

He returned to Spring Hill two years ago, moving from Marshall.

He was a retired owner and operator of several auto body shops.

He was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Marshall and was a Mason.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Pat Long of Stover, MO; and Judy Gibbs of Pearl River, NY; one son, Larry Rogers of Plano, TX; two brothers, R.W. Rogers and Bobby Joe Rogers, both of Marshall, MO; one sister, Garadel Krone of North Kansas City, MO; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Visitation Friday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Funeral services Aug. 5, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Rich Shugert will officiate. Burial with military rites will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville.
