Submission by Janice (O'Bryan) Byington, FindaGrave member 46607209: NOTE: His name was Joseph Walter Brock. This headstone was made by someone who hadn't checked his records, hence the name James Walter Brock. His Death Certificate says he was buried in the Asylum Cemetery (also known as Geiger Avenue Cemetery, Confederate Home Cemetery, SC State Hospital Cemetery, White Asylum Cemetery) in Columbia, South Carolina, but his headstone is in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, Seneca, Oconee, South Carolina. He may have been reinterred here but until Shiloh burial records are checked, we won't know for sure.
Other Brocks in this cemetery are not near these two who are in a large graveled section, but with no other headstones.
Actual Burial here
