B. 24 MAR 1862, Silver Ridge, Aroostook, Maine, D. 17 JAN 1950, Macwahoc, Aroostook, Maine. A memorial is planned for Cynthia.
Known as "Max", "Emma", and "Emmy", she was born on Silver Ridge Plantation. Her father was a farmer. She married Perez R Melman, Oct 27, 1910, in Stacyville, Maine. She married Archie Lee Rideout about 1920. She was widowed several times. She married Roderick L. Pheney about 1930, in California. Her only living child, one of 8, was my adopted mother, Luda aka Bunny. Gammy Max raised my eldest adopted brother. She had worked as a silent film actress in Los Angeles Assembly District 71, Los Angeles, California in the 1920's. She lived in Merrimack, New Hampshire in 1935, and Stratham, Rockingham, New Hampshire in 1940. A devout Catholic, she was devoted to her church and family. The most enduring lessons, I ever learned in life, were taught to me by her.
