Charles Raymond Stahlman, 74, formerly of Ambridge, died Thursday, September 18, 1986, in Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, Pa. Born June 22, 1912, in Sykesville, Pa; son of the late Rev. Charles E. and Nettie Jane Mauk Stahlman, he received his bachelor and master of science degrees form the University of Pittsburgh, and attended Geneva College. He was a member of Sons of Zebedee Lutheran Church, Saltsburg, Pa., and a former teacher in the Ambridge Area School District.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Alice) Megraw, Indian Lake, Pa., and Mrs. Kenneth (Sara) Shields, Harmony Township, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 pm to time of service in the John E. Matter Funeral Home, 1133 Church Street, Ambridge. The Rev. G. Brubaker, his pastor, will officiate. Interment will be Saturday in St. James Cemetery, Ringgold, Jefferson County, Pa.
