Singer, musician, songwriter and lyricist. One of Swedens most popular entertainers, who made his record debute in 1952. In 1954 he started in the famous jazz musician Arne Domnerus' band at Nalen in Stockholm, and besides he had his own band as well. During his long career he wrote many songs and lyrics. In 1967 he represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest finals with "Som i en dröm". Throughout the years he had many hits on the Swedish charts, for instance "Du borde köpa dig en tyrolerhatt", "En sommardröm", "Jag har bott vid en landsväg", "Det var längesen man plocka några blommor" and "15 minuter från Eslöv", a cover on the US-hit "15 minutes from Tulsa". "Performing on stage is lika a short, intense, love relation", he once said. He was engaged for a hotel show on the Canary Islands, Spain, when he was found dead at his hotel-room, struck by a fatal heart attack.
