CLAUDE SHELTON FENDALL
Claude Shelton Fendall, who died at his home in the Willamina Valley at 11:45 P.M., August 11, 1918, was a son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Y. Fendall; old residents of Yamhill County. His birthplace was the old family home, Sept. 3, 1882. Mr. Fendall had been subject to stomach trouble for years, and recently he had been taking treatment at the hospital in Salem, returning home only last Saturday. He was married in 1906 to Miss Bellee Evans of Gopher Valley, and they have one daughter, Bessie. The funeral services were conducted at the home Tuesday, August 13, and interment at the Upper Willamina Cem. The Rev. C. L. Dark of Sheridan preached, and a quartet composed of Messrs Yerex, Ryan, Sims and Dark sang. Besides the wife and Mrs. C. E. Mendenhall, Mrs. Lloyd Brown, Mrs. Fred Fisher, and Miss Lucia Fendall, and a brother Guy Fendall.
