GRAVESIDE MEMORIAL VERNON A graveside memorial service for Thomas E. "Tom" Deyo will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in Tyler Cemetery on Pond Road in Vernon, with Pastor Bruce Burks officiating. Mr. Deyo, 85, a longtime resident of Brattleboro, passed away Jan. 21, 2013, at Vernon Green Nursing Home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Atamaniuk Funeral Home.

Parents - Harold and Grace (Thomas) Deyo.

Attended Brattleboro public schools & graduated from Brattleboro High School in 1947.

Owned and operated Deyo's Home Laundry located on Frost Place working with his parents and brother. He later established Deyo's Cleaning Service which he operated until his retirement in 1982.

With his wife he later moved to Tarpon Springs, FL where they resided for 16 years later moving back to Brattleboro. For several years he coached Little League baseball and was a former member of the Brattleboro Country Club. Of his pastimes and interests he enjoyed hunting, fishing woodworking and was a longtime sport fan.

A true family man he cherished time spent with his family. On May 23, 1948 at First United Methodist Church in Brattleboro he was married to Janice Pope who survives.

Survived by his wife Janice; 4 sons;a daughter; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Harold and Robert Deyo and a sister Barbara Putnam.
