HERMON - James M. Wentworth, 73, died May 16, 2014 at a Bangor nursing center. He was born Jan. 18, 1941 in Waldo, the son of Manus and Christie Wentworth.

James served with the US Army in the mid 60's and he worked for Dysarts for 18 years as the night service writer. James was a devout Red Sox fan and loved tending his vegetable garden. He will be remembered for his keen wit and playful sarcasm.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 33 years, Jylle A. (Clark) Wentworth of Hermon are his children, Tammy Wentworth, Kimberly Shemak, Karen, Wentworth-Tisdale, Nikki Wentworth Allbaugh, Brandon Lee Wentworth and Jami M. Wentworth; grandchildren, Amanda Dyer, Brittanie Lynn Ritchie, Nicholas Wentworth and Blake Littlefield; three sisters, Carol Miller, Sally Gould and Shirley Whitcomb; one brother, Ronald Wentworth; many other grandchildren, great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

He was predeceased by his parents, a son, Corry Wentworth in 2009 and by a sister, Mame Hanscom.

Burial with military honors wll be at Bayview Cemetery, Franklin. Bangor Daily News 5/19/2014)
