Wife of Francis de Pau. Her burial service was at St. Anne's in New York City. Her husband Francois Auguste de Pau, died on July 3, 1854. Sylvia married Francois in Charleston, South Carolina on February 23, 1798.

In this City, on Friday, Jan. 5, in the 82d year of her age, at her residence, No. 2 Depau-row, Silvie De Grasse Depau, widow of the late Francis Depau, and only surviving daughter of the late Admiral Count De Grasse. Her friends, and those of her family, are requested to attend her funeral from St. Ann's Church, 8th St., near 4th Av., at 2 o'clock P. M., on Sunday, the 7th inst. The New York Times, January 6, 1855.
