The family will receive friends before the service at the funeral home from 1 to 2 pm.
Obituary:
Charles Hugh Acker, of 87 Flymm Smith Road, husband of Emily Marie Joseph Acker, died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Easley, he was a son of the late Charles Hugh Acker, Sr. and Eva Lucille Abercrombie Acker. Charles was a U. S. Air Force veteran and attended New Beginnings Baptist Church. He was a pipe fitter and worked at B & F Small Engine Repair.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters: Virginia Lynn Whitten, of Taylors, Peggy Guinn and her husband, Curt, of Hodges and Shelby Archambault and her husband, Brian, of Greenwood; a brother, John W. Acker of Mason, OH; two granddaughters, Paige and Taylor Archambault; and a great grand son, Chane Archambault.
The family members are at their respective homes.
