A Wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Friend and Teacher. Rebecca Pitt Edwards, 85, died Thursday. The funeral will conducted by the Rev. Charles Myers at 11 a.m Saturday at the Pinetops United Church. Burial will follow in the Pitt Family Cemetery, St. Lewis. She was a retired third-grade school teacher. Surviving are one son, Bobby Edwards of Wilmington; a sister, Julia Ahern, Virginia Beach, Va.; a brother, Eblert Ray Pitt of Pinetops; two granddaughters; and three great- grandchildren.
