Westminster, SC – Marshall Treadwell Abbott, 83, 252 East Bennett Rd., passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at his home.
A native of Oconee County, he was the son of the late Zettner Thomas and Frances Dingle Abbott. He was a retired banker with the Bank of Westminster. Marshall was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, and a veteran of the US Army.
He is survived by his wife, Mickie Burgess Abbott, her daughter and her granddaughter, Sherri Fitzgerald, and Mackenzie Reid, his 4 children: Charlotte Sheriff (Mike) and their daughter Marlee, Fran Human (Bill), Ted Abbott and Cindy Abbott and their daughter Alex, Bill Abbott, his sons Kyle and Josh, and his grandson Aiden; and his brother, Tommy Abbott (Betty).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy Dickson Abbott.
A funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 21, 2014 in the Heritage Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. Entombment will follow.
