FREER, Texas - Guy Harold Abbott, 55, a long time resident of Freer, Texas, died Friday, March 16, 2007 after a long illness. He was employed by various oilfield companies before his illness. He enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cora Lee Abbott.
Survivors include his father, Kenneth Harold Abbott of Louisiana; his brothers, Dale Kemps of Alice, Texas, Ray Abbott of Texas, and Roy (Margaret) Abbott of Louisiana; his sister, Iva (David) Hobbs of Louisiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation. Military graveside services and interment was held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2007 at Hahl Memorial Cemetery in Freer, Texas, with Pastor Joe Carrales officiating.
