.Jose J. Abascal, 83, of Allentown, died on Sunday, March 23, 2014 in ManorCare Health Services, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Josefina (Garma) Abascal. Born in Pinar de Rio, Cuba, he was the son of the late Felix and Cruz Maria (Alvarez) Abascal. He was a graduate of Florida Southern College. Jose had owned cemeteries and a funeral home in the Miami Fl area until his retirement. He was a member of Kiwanis and loved Deep Sea Fishing. Survivors: Wife; Children, Jose Fernandez, Barbara Muffley and her husband JR., and Annette Abascal, all of Allentown; 7 Grandchildren; and a Sister, Maria Antonia. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thusday, Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th & Hamilton Streets, Allentown PA. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Interment in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
