Jesse Graydon Smith, 81, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2010. He was born on July 16, 1929, in Riner, Va. He worked for Adams Construction for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Eva Smith; wife, Frances E. Smith; sister, Gerldine Spangler; son, Junior Gaylor; and grandson, Karl Robertson Jr. Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Peggy A. Smith; son, Jesse Claude Smith; daughters, Sonya and husband, Larry Frazier Sr., Francis Robertson, Karan Graham and husband, Mark Reynolds, and Jean and husband, Tim Bruggeman; grandchildren, Larry Jr. and wife, Sandra Frazier, Barbara Lemon, and Jay Gaylor; and great-grandchildren, Ethan and Alexandra Frazier, and Nathan Gaylor. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. Paul Hatfield officiating. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2010. Flowers are appreciated, however memorial contributions may be made to Living Water Christian Church, 2520 Swimmer Lane, Salem, Va. 24153. Arrangements by Lotz Salem Chapel.
