Mr. Raymond Daniel Parker, Sr., age 69 of Sikes, Louisiana passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014.
Born Monday, December 18, 1944 in Winnfield, Louisiana, he was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and served on the Friendship Cemetery Committee for a number of years.
Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his Parents, Maurice and Rowena Parker; Son, Michael Dewayne Parker; Brother, James E. Parker.
Those left to cherish his memory include his Wife, Diana Parker, Sikes; Sons, Raymond "Danny" Parker, Jr. and wife Tapia and Kevin Parker and partner Eric Pippen of Sikes, LA; Daughter, Cherry Parker, Winnfield; Grandchildren, Michael, Crystal, Hillary, Aspen, Kellie, Memphis and Sarah; Great Grandchild, Jace; Brother-in-law, Malcolm Ainsworth; His faithful companion, "Booger" the cat.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 28 at Friendship Baptist Church, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM , and again on Tuesday, April 29 from 10:00 AM until time of services. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Green officiating. Interment will follow in Sikes Cemetery.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Greg Whatley, Ben Smiley, Chris Hicks, Mervin Parker, Justin Shell and Mark Green. Honorary pallbearers will be Rev. Billy Bustin and Malcolm Aisnworth.
