Audrey Milburn Mattingly, age 89, of Walnut Street, Springfield, passed away at 5:52 p.m., Friday, April 18, 2014, at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
A native of London, England, she was born on Aug. 1, 1924 to the late Henry and Ethel Horrigan Hand. She was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Preceding her in death was her first husband, Zoy Milburn on July 16, 1976; a son, Doug Milburn on Feb. 13, 1986; two daughters, Carol Ann Milburn on July 28, 1947 and Anne Michelle Milburn on Dec. 7, 1965 and two brothers, George and Ron Hand.
Survivors include, her husband, Leonard Mattingly; a daughter, Sheila Yankey and her husband, Tobe of Springfield; two sons, Craig Milburn and his wife, Marsha of Zephyrhills, Fla. and Philip Milburn and his wife, Laura of Lebanon; six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 22, at the Springfield Baptist Church with Bro. Kyle Yankey, Tobe Yankey and Rev. Justin Compton, officiating.
Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were Bob and Ann Walker, Mike Jones, Chuck Smothers, Tom Reddick, Cherry Gibson, Doris Shewmaker and Terry Kurtz.
Serving as pallbearers were Brian Yankey, Dylan Yankey, Zoy Milburn, Ryan Milburn, Nate Madden, Paul Herald, Joey Auberry and Ashley Davis.
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
