Randy W. Shade, 52, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at MedCentral Mansfield with his family by his side after fighting a long courageous battle with his illness.
He was born January 29, 1958 in Mansfield. A 1976 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School, Randy went on to serve in the Marines. He was a member of the Ontario Free Methodist Church and Naval Sea Cadets and also an instructor of the Young Marines. Randy worked for National Seating, Madison School District where he was the bus driver of the "Lucky 13" bus, and Shiloh Corporation where he retired in 2000. A strong willed and stubborn man, Randy never met a stranger. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and dirt track racing and loved spending time with his grandson, Austin.
Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Frieda, whom he married on March 19, 1977; daughters, Stacey (Tom) Burgess and Amber (Eric) Hunt, both of Mansfield; grandson, Austin Hunt; granddaughters, Morgan and Madalynn Hunt and Payton Burgess; mother, Helen Mahan of Kentucky; mother-in-law, Jean Rose; brothers, Tim Shade and Bryan (Tracy) Shade, both of Mansfield; sister, Kay (David) Laboiteaux of Kentucky; uncle, Gene Shade of Mansfield; sister-in-law, Loretta Moore of Mansfield; brothers-in-law, Ken (Kathy) Rose and Brian (Melissa) Rose, both of Mansfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard; sister, Debra Shade; brother, Richard Shade; father-in-law, Kelsey Rose; and brother-in-law, Rick Moore.
