Christine was a 9 year old school girl in Queensville, Ontario, Canada who was abducted from her home in October 1984. Her body was found almost 3 months about 50 kilometers from her home. She was reportedly gone to the store to buy some bubblegum. She had been beaten and raped. Even though her abductor has never been found, she has not been forgotten. In 2001, they dedicated a tree in her honour near Queensvillie Public School, the school she attended.
In October of 2020, the Toronto Police Service announced that Christine Jessop's killer was found with the use of forensic genetic genealogy. This solve was a partnership between the Toronto Police Service, Othram Inc, and Redgrave Research Forensic Services.
