Elizabeth J. (Bocyck) Pigula, 85, of Lacona, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 at her home.

She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian (Harroun) Bocyck. She retired in 1992 from the North Syracuse School District Transportation Department, where she was employed for 29 years. Elizabeth was predeceased by two sisters and three brothers.

Surviving to cherish her memory are two daughters and three sons; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothers; many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Route 31, Baldwinsville. A prayer service will be held 8:30 a.m. on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 927 Park Avenue, Syracuse. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery Mausoleum, Baldwinsville.
