Mrs. Elaine Allison, 88, of Corsicana, passed away Monday, May 10, 2010 at her residence. She was born November 7, 1921 in Wills Point, Texas to Ed and Carrie Lockett.

Elaine was a long time member of St. John's Episcopal Church and was active in church activities and in the community. She was a world traveler, a pilot of both airplanes and hot air balloons, and loved to fish and hunt. She was also active in the Corsicana Branch of the American Red Cross.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Carrie Lockett, her sister, Margie Wray, and her infant son, Phillip Edward Allison.

Elaine is survived by sons, Freddy Allison and wife Diane of Midland, Texas and Bill Allison and wife Brenda of Shawnee, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Chance Allison of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Phillip Allison and wife Allison of Dallas, Texas; Karey A. Hopkins and husband Arthur of Dallas, Texas; and great-grandchildren Elaine Allison, Michael Allison, Allison Hopkins and Mark Hopkins.

Elaine's family wishes to thank her caregivers, Linda Mixon, Betty Rogers, Jennie and Del Black, Joey Nathan, Cora Jefferson and Mary Lee Taylor for their love and care.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Corsicana with Father Ed Monk officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill Allison, Chance Allison, Phillip Allison, Arthur Hopkins, Ted Denbow, and Michael Grizzaffi.
