He married Nellie Mae "Nell" Klouse on July 13, 1935 in Kittanning, Pennsylvania. They were married just 4 mos short of 46 years when he passed in March of 1981. To this union were born three sons:
Willis Andrew "Buck" - 1937-1998
Robert Daniel "Bob" - 1941-2001
Dennis Lee "Denny" - 1950-2016
They retired to Bombay Beach, California better known as "The Salton Sea" where Bill would hang out at the local bar "The Ski Inn. There he could be found, chatting, drinking and playing pool.
