Edith Elma Vossekuil, 82, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 21, 2009, at All About Life Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her family.
Edith was born on March 23, 1926, in Wild Rose, WI, a daughter to Arthur and Bernice (Borst) Feavel.
She attended schools in Oshkosh.
On May 24, 1947, she married Edward "Bingo" Vossekuil.
Edith had a very loving nature and enjoyed her role as housewife and mother. She was a faithful wife and dedicated mother who loved to cook and bake. Edith was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished precious time with her family. She was a poet who enjoyed writing poems about her children and grandchildren.
Edith is survived by her daughter, Donna (Curt) Huhndorf; two sons, Randy (Jenny) Vossekuil and Douglas (Dawn) Vossekuil, all of Fond du Lac; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; her brother, Kenneth (Ruth) Feavel, Fond du Lac; her sister, Lillian (Frank) Anderson, Stevens Point; son-in-law, Frank Bukowiec, Green Bay; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband "Bingo" in 1985; two daughters, Linda Vossekuil and Karen Bukowiec; one son, Mike Vossekuil; her grandson, Bradley Bukowiec; one brother, Harold Feavel; and one sister, Betty Janowski.
Services: Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 W. Main St., Waupun, with Pastor Will Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Mound Cemetery.
Visitation: The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, at Kohls from 10 a.m. until the hour of services.
A Memorial Fund has been established in Edith's name.
