Sydnee Danielle Coen

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My name was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." Psalm 139; 13-16.
Sydnee Danielle Coen, age 4, of Kingsport, was received from Heaven on July 2, 2006, and returned to Heaven on August 30, 2010.

She was born in Charleston, to Scott and Kristi Coen, and resided in Kingsport all her life. Sydnee was a delightful young girl, full of the courage to face the many challenges in her brief life. Her determination inspired those who were blessed to know her. Think of all the things that a young girl should be: she was that. Though her time was limited, her impact on the world around her was boundless.

She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Mildred I. Miller, William H. Miller, Blanche M. Smith, and J. Arthur Smith; and paternal great-grandparents, Wanda L. Besecker, Donald L. Besecker Sr., and M. Donald Coen.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her baby brother, Noah Scott Coen; big sister, Kerri Elizabeth Coen; maternal grandparents, Robin and Mervin Smith; paternal grandparents, Shirley and John Coen; paternal great-grandmother, Ella Belle Coen; aunts, Misty Hodel and husband Bart and Shelley Amburgey and husband Steve; and cousins, Maxwell Hodel, Troy, Anna, and Austin Amburgey.

Memorial Service is scheduled for noon Saturday, November 27, 2010, at the Southeast Church of the Nazarene, Kanawha City.

A special thank you to Dr. Josh Shook for loving and caring for Sydnee as your own, and all of the many physicians and staff of East Tennessee Children's Hospital, Boston Children's Hospital, and Holston Valley Medical Center. We would also like to thank the loving church family of Southview Community Church of the Nazarene.

Memorial contributions may be made to Southview Community Church of the Nazarene.
