Joaquin Jake Santos Aguilar age 78, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 27. He was born in Jaen, Philippines in 1935. Jake lived a full wonderful life, having served 20 years and retired from the U.S. Navy. He was most proud to be a Vietnam Vet, he also retired with 21 years Civil Service as a Supply Agent for NAS-Jax. Dad is survived by his children Adalina- VA, Julie-VA, Lisa- FL, BeeBee-FL, Eric-FL and Jennifer-FL. As Papa he had 10 grandchildren and 4 greatgrands. He had 2 loving sisters in the Philippines; Neddie and ODonna along with their children. As Kuya or Tito he leaves a clan of close friends and loved ones. Viewing and Blessings will be held on Wednesday, April 2 from 10 am - 12 pm at Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. An escorted procession will lead Jake and friends and family to the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 4083 Lannie Road, where he will be laid to rest after a service at 1:30 pm. Memorial donations to the family are welcome in lieu of flowers to benefit San Agustin Parish Church, Jaen, Nueva Ecija, Philippines.
