Ronnie Lee Gardner passed away on March 28, 2014 at Hendrick Medical Center. He was 63 years old. He was born in Fisher County, TX on February 21, 1951 to Willie Lee and Willa Mae (Christopher) Gardner. He graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1969 and married Connie Nitzsche in 1981.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Salem Lutheran Church in Roscoe with Rev. Howell Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Roscoe Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2014 at McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.

Survivors include sons, Brad Gardner and wife Amber of Abilene, TX, Lance Gardner and wife Evie of Garland, TX, Michael Gardner and wife Allie of San Angelo, TX, and John David Gardner and wife Sheila of Roby, TX; wife, Connie of Sweetwater, TX; brothers, Terry Gardner and wife Brenda of Sweetwater and Leon Gardner and wife Zenita of Sylvester, TX; sisters, Sue Sutton and husband Buddy of Sweetwater, TX, Jane Chew and husband Elvin of Abilene, TX and Doris Squires and husband Winfred of Carrollton, TX; 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by hia parents Willie Lee and Willa May (Christopher) Gardner; brothers, Jim Gardner, Donald Gardner and Sonny Gardner; sisters, Darlene Schoonover, Jo Faught, Peggy Eaton, Billie Martin, Sandra Estes and June Squires.

Pallbearers will be Basil Staggs, Jackie Williams, Bobby Briscoe, Jay Suggs, Glen Barton and Gene Sorrows.
