Clara Lucille Swisher, 89, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014 in Clearwater, Florida.
She was born on July 31, 1924 in Moose Lake, Minnesota to Arthur and Clara Odessa Johnson. She met her husband, William Walter Swisher, while working at Boeing Aircraft as a riveter in Seattle, Washington during the war. They were married on February 9, 1946.
Clara was a member of First Baptist Church Lakeview and sang in the choir for 35 years. While living in Florida with her daughter in Tarpon Springs, FL, she attended Calvary Baptist Church in Clearwater, Florida.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William (Walt) W. Swisher; her parents, Arthur and Clara Odessa Johnson (Anderson). She is survived by her loving family; daughter, Sherilyn Swisher; son, William (Bill) Walter Swisher, Jr.; granddaughter, Jennifer (Donny) Walker; granddaughter, Lesley Martin; grandson, Jeremy Swisher; granddaughter, Stephanie Swisher: and six great grandchildren, Cody Fuchs; Jacob Walker; Caleb Walker; Ethan Walker; Devyn Swisher; and Landon Swisher. She is also survived by three sisters; Carol Austin; Marsha Peterson; Jeanette Hanson; and one brother, Gary Johnson. She was preceded in death by siblings Ralph Johnson, Daphne Pearson, Marilyn Cunningham, Dale Johnson, Clifford Johnson, Clarence Johnson, Roger Johnson, and Harold Johnson.
