Adah Elizabeth "Libby" Gilley, 56, of Flintstone, GA went to meet her Lord and Savior Tuesday, March 25, 2014, Libby was born to the late Rev. Jimmie L. Willis and Kathleen Holbrook Willis in Moulton, AL on March 3, 1958. The Willis Family moved to Chattanooga Valley in 1971 where Libby graduated from Chattanooga Valley High School in 1976 and married her sweetheart, Barry Gilley in 1979.

Libby received her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1980, taught intermittently at Chattanooga Valley Elementary School from 1982 to 2002 receiving teacher of the year honors. Libby was an active member of Chattanooga Valley Church of the Nazarene where she served as the Director of Children's Ministries, Nazarene World Mission Society president, and sing in both the church choir and in the Chattanooga Valley Community Choir. Libby was an extraordinarily devoted Christian, a loving wife, a fearless mother, a loyal friend and a person who saw good in everyone.

Libby was preceded in death by her father Jimmie L. Willis. She is survived by her husband, Barry Gilley and two sons: Jerod Gilley of Flintstone, GA, and Nathan (Bethany) Gilley of Augusta, GA, as well as her mother, Kathleen Holbrook Willis of LaGrange, GA. She is also survived by four siblings: Clara (Bob) Byrd of Lebanon, TN; Kathy (Steve) Carroll of Acworth, GA; Wendy (Philip) Parmer of LaGrange, GA; and Regina (Bachir) Simma of Dacula, GA.

There will be a celebration of Libby's life Saturday, March 29th 2:00 PM at the Chattanooga Valley Church of the Nazarene, Flintstone, GA. The family will receive visitors from noon until 2:00 prior to the service. Additionally, Libby requested a fellowship meal following the service, so to complete our celebration please bring a covered dish and eat with the family following the service.
