Mrs. Abbie Christine Crawford Johnson, age 91 of Sparta passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the NHC of Sparta.
Mrs. Johnson was born December 4, 1922 to the late Albert B. & Josie R. Scott Crawford. Abbie worked at the old Sparta Shirt Factory for 36 years, Sutton's for 10 years and also delivered newspapers for the Sparta Expositor for 15 years until her retirement. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband James M. Johnson; four sons Raymond Edward, Larry Rawleigh, William Nathan and Bruce Dewayne; grandson Robert M. "Tooter" Johnson; sister Billie Ruth McBride; daughter-in-law Claudette Johnson.
Survivors include her son James F. Johnson and wife Gail of Kentucky
Daughter: Vaunda Copeland and Roger Henry of Sparta
Two granddaughters: Kristy Johnson Jones and Jerry, Nicole Johnson & Phil
Two great-grandsons: Drake & Phil, Jr.

Funeral services were 1:00pm Monday, March 24, 2014 in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Eastland Cemetery. Sam Davis officiated.
Jamie Spivey, Lynn Baker, Danny Cantrell, Andy Baksa, J.J. Baska, Jacob Youngblood, Josh Rushing, Joey Taylor and Frankie Taylor served as pallbearers.
