Tampa, Florida – Clifford "Cliff" Peter Allen, 68, of Massachusetts and Andover, England, died unexpectedly March 3, 2014 as a result of injuries sustained in a fall earlier that day.

He was born in April 1, 1945 in Newburyport, Mass., to Herman E. and Barbara (Currier) Allen. He was a graduate of Newburyport High School, Class of 1964. He enlisted in the US Navy and served for 20 years, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer in 1984. Upon retiring from the Navy, he went to work at Westford Anodizing. He was active in softball and the Rotary Clubs of Westford and Andover, England.

Cliff enjoyed his retirement traveling the country in his RVs, often spending winters in Florida and summers in Colorado. He stayed active and enjoyed playing bridge. He was very competitive and was never one to turn down a game of cribbage or croquet. He was a lifelong Red Sox and Patriots fan, loved cars, his RVs, racing, country music and ABBA.

Cliff loved to be of assistance to others and was always ready to lend a hand, no matter how big or small the project. He had a good sense of humor and was able to laugh at himself. His last years were spent on a journey of self-improvement. He was a wonderful work in progress that ended too soon. He will be dearly missed.
