Per the book, "History of Hayestown, Nebraska" by Lois Johnsten, page 40 listing the baptisms of Trinity Church, Ernst Heinrich Zeller, son of August Zeller and Maria Jakob, was born Sept 1 1908, baptized Feb 7 1909, godparents, Karl Jakob and Emma Jakob (Note that all other records show his first name as Ernest).


Obituary:

ERNEST H. ZELLER, 86, of rural Huntertown died Friday in Renaissance Village.


The Bartley, Neb., native was a retired farmer and also retired in 1970 from the maintenance department at Smith Field. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Churubusco.


Surviving are his wife, Laura; daughters, Marilyn Leazier of Churubusco and Lucille Laughlin of Fort Wayne; son, Allen E. of Churubusco; sisters, Helen McCreath of Lincoln, Neb., and Esther Cram of Alma, Wis.; brothers, George of Danbury, Neb., and Elmer of Bartley; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.


Services are 2 p.m. tomorrow in the church, with burial in Huntertown Cemetery. Calling is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in Sheets Funeral Home, Churubusco, and 1 to 2 p.m. tomorrow in the church.


Preferred memorials are gifts to the church or Compre Care Home Health
