Terry Wayne Landon, age 56, of Mooresville, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Landon and a brother, Steve Landon. Terry, a true nature lover, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was a veteran of the US Navy, having served in Vietnam. He was also a truckdriver. Surviving is his mother, Nancy Horton Landon of Dallas, TX: a loving wife of 11 years, Millidene Edwards Landon of the home; a step daughter, Mary Louise Templeton of Fort Bragg; two step sons: Cody Ray Edwards of Mooresville, and Michael James Arrowood, of Burnsville: three sisters: Joyce Landon, of Dallas TX; Janet Landon, of Houston TX, and Lori Landon of San Antonio, TX. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2009, in the chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service and at other times will be at the home of David and Carolyn Howell of the Bald Creek Community in Burnsville. Interment will be in the Edwards Cemetery. A second memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at their home in Mooresville.
