Obituary

WANDA L. PETERSON (MURPHY) Wanda L. Peterson (Murphy) entered into rest on February 17, 2014 at her home in Orland, Ca. at the age of 72.

Wanda was raised in Paradise,Ca. where she met and married her High School sweetheart Laird Peterson, Sr. in 1962. Wanda was the first Gold Nugget Queen of Paradise in 1959- an experience which she treasured and held dear to her heart. Wanda was Secretary / Treasurer of Peterson's Painting Service, Inc. and owner of Peterson's Mini Storage both in Orland, Ca.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband in 2012, and survived by her three children and five grandchildren.

Services will be held at St Augustine's of Canterbury, Chico, Ca. at 1:30 pm February 25, 2014. Viewing to be held at Brusies, Chico, Ca. February 24, 2014 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Memorium to The Wounded Warrior Project.
