LINCOLN -- Melvin Henry Louis Reinert, 90, of Lincoln, died Sunday March 9, 2014, in Beloit. Melvin was born July 14, 1923, in rural Lincoln County to William L. and Amanda (Serrien) Reinert.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Harold; and sister, Lorna Reinert.
Left to celebrate his life include his wife, Luella, of Lincoln; daughters, Joan (Bill) Detmer, of Lincoln, Ruth (Gary) Sorensen, of Sylvan Grove, and Gaylene (Jerry) Sorell, of Beloit; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, with family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m., at Hall Chapel, Lincoln. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 13, at St. John Lutheran Church, Lincoln.
Interment will follow in St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
